John started his career in real estate 22 years ago working for a large commercial lender in their asset management department. Since that time he has been active in various roles in multifamily management and investment. He has held Real Estate Broker licenses in both North Carolina and Georgia, and is the qualifying broker for Cobalt Property Services.
John and Brian identified a need for professional property management services targeting smaller multifamily properties in Atlanta. In 2009 they founded Cobalt Property Services. They operated virtually without a brick and mortar office from the start, though it took a while for that type of setup to become normalized.
John's current role with CPS includes keeping investors informed on the performance of their properties & seeking new opportunities for their improvement. He enjoys staying informed of technological changes in the property management industry and implementing those that add value and efficiency.
John completed his undergraduate studies at Samford University and his Master of Business Administration degree at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
John is passionate about using his resources, time & networks to positively impact the people, animals & communities of Atlanta. He proudly organizes an annual 5k running race in honor of his late wife as a fundraiser for The Kyle Pease Foundation.
